VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Volunteers are the life blood of any non-profit organization, volunteerism is essential.
The general purpose of our volunteer program is to expose the volunteer to the domestic violence services provided by A Safe Place. The role of the volunteer is designed to “shadow staff” as needed. Duties include observation and some hands on tasks depending on the program activity there are involved in. Volunteer participation is incorporated into various direct and indirect program activities. Volunteers are required to complete 40-hours of domestic violence classroom training in addition to committing and completing a minimum of 60 hours over 9 months of hands on training under the leadership of direct and indirect staff.
