ASP provides the only crisis shelter in Oakland for victims of domestic violence and intimate partner abuse. That's one shelter serving a population of over 400,000 people. Funding from these amazing people make it possible for us to do our work. Why not join them? Our director, Carolyn Russell would love to hear from you.

The San Francisco Foundation

We invest in change through community health because as a community, we rely on each other to enjoy longer and healthier lives. While working to prevent unnecessary illness and harm and protecting each person’s access to medically and linguistically competent care, we can help everyone in the Bay Area to enjoy great health at all stages of life.

Piedmont Community Church

God calls us not only to take care of one another, but also to reach out beyond our community. So at Piedmont Community Church, we follow Jesus Christ wherever he guides us - standing up for the downtrodden, feeding the hungry, caring for the poor, being good stewards of creation and working for justice and peace - from our engagement with partners in Oakland to our projects in East Africa, Latin America and Asia. Join us as we seek to make a difference in our world. There’s a place for you!
