OUR MISSION
A Safe Place breaks the cycle of family violence and intimate partner abuse. We work every day to provide 24/7 emergency shelter, security and support for families who are not safe at home.
We educate and protect our community through outreach programs for schools, teens and at-risk groups. We aim to create a world where family violence is history.
SURVIVOR STORY
COVID-19 UPDATE
Keeping Our Communities Safe
During public health crises, like the COVID-19 outbreak, those living in poverty are extremely impacted. Staying home for some means increasing their exposure to intimate partner violence. The services we provide such as shelter, food and safety-net services for survivors of intimate partner violence are even more in demand. Our staff are working around the clock to ensure that our doors remain open to continue providing these essential services.
A Safe Place continues to monitor the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and its impact on our community. We are following guidelines from the CDC and the Alameda Public Health Department to safeguard the health and safety of our clients, volunteers, and employees. As we continue to respond to the daily challenges to support those who rely on us when they have nowhere else to go, we need your help. Please donate what you can to fund the work of our silent warriors on the front lines.
Our essential services remain open:
• Emergency Shelter
• 24/7 Crisis Line
• Support Services
If you need emergency support, please call our 24/7 hotline at 1.510.536.7233
If you wish to donate, or learn more about our services, please call email us at Info@ASafePlace.org.
